Artist's statement:

Sparked by a 3-hour "how to weave a scarf" class in the fall of 2007, Jessica has been weaving happily ever since. Self-taught from that point on, she learns new techniques and styles through books, fellow weavers, and lots of experimenting. Her primary loom is the rigid heddle, but she enjoys working on a variety of small looms as well. In 2019 she started trying her hand at needle-felting, and enjoys using many types of wool to create hand-felted wool ‘paintings.’ One of her favorite things about fiber arts is playing with color, light, and texture to see how it all comes together.
